How memor.ca handles personal information

This page describes what information memor.ca collects, why it is used, which service providers help operate the site, and how customers can ask about their data.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run a photo order and customer account, including your name, email address, phone number, delivery details, order notes, selected print options, and the photos you upload.

If you create or use a customer account, we also process authentication data through Firebase Authentication. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the identity information needed to complete that sign-in flow.

  • Order records, totals, and fulfillment details.
  • Uploaded photos, previews, and related file metadata such as size and type.
  • Technical and session data needed to keep sign-in, cart, checkout, and recent-order flows working.

How we use information

We use personal information to authenticate customers, accept and fulfill orders, communicate about status or issues, process payments, maintain customer accounts, secure the site, and provide support after purchase.

We may also use operational information to troubleshoot bugs, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve the reliability of memor.ca.

Service providers and disclosure

memor.ca currently relies on Firebase for authentication, database, and file storage, Stripe for card payment processing, Google for optional sign-in, and an environment-configured email provider for transactional messages.

We may share personal information with service providers that process data on our behalf, or where disclosure is required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of memor.ca, our customers, or the public.

  • We do not sell uploaded photos or customer personal information.
  • Payment card details are handled by Stripe in the checkout flow rather than stored directly by memor.ca.

Retention and safeguards

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, such as completing orders, providing support, maintaining customer account access, meeting legal record-keeping obligations, or protecting the service from abuse.

Access to personal information is limited to the people, systems, and service providers that need it to perform their role. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but memor.ca uses safeguards appropriate to the service.

Access, correction, and deletion requests

You may contact memor.ca to ask about the personal information associated with your order or account, request a correction, or request deletion, subject to legal, operational, security, and record-retention limits.
